The Comprehensive Intensive is designed around three core pillars to give you a complete, practical understanding of how to support clients recovering from breast and chest surgeries.

1. Mindful, Human-centric Care

Start by building a strong foundation in the medical, emotional, and ethical considerations involved in post-surgical massage therapy.

This pillar ensures you understand the unique needs of clients undergoing breast cancer surgeries, gender-affirming procedures, and elective breast surgeries, incorporating trauma-informed care and the Biopsychosocial Spiritual Model of Care.

You will learn all the ethical and professional protocols for working with sensitive parts of the body, sensitive populations in a way that is safe, and protects both yourself and your clients.

2. Advanced Post-Surgical Massage

It is imperative to understand what happens under the skin during and after surgery to offer effective treatments. We do the deep dive into 18+ types of breast/chest surgery plus the top 10 post-op complications.

You will learn light-touch techniques for a sustainable massage therapy practice, weaving some of the most influential body systems together for truly effective wound healing that surgeons will approve of.

Skills covered include scar tissue, fascia, the nervous system, fluid systems (lymph and blood), as well as tailored techniques for post-operative complications.

3. Hands-On Practice & Clinical Application

The final pillar focuses on applying your skills in real-world settings. You'll participate in guided, hands-on practice sessions on real post-surgical patients to ensure you feel confident and prepared to integrate your new techniques into your existing practice.

You will learn and practice techniques every day of the course, and 3 times in the course you will have practice people come to you, so you can practice your clinical skills on them. Patient confidentiality is maintained throughout, and you will engage in group discussion-based review of each practice session.

The Comprehensive Intensive is designed to fit seamlessly into your professional schedule, offering an immersive, virtual learning experience with real-time guidance and hands-on practice.

Hi! I’m Eryn 😄🦋

With over 25 years in the healing arts and 15 years as a massage therapist, I’ve dedicated my career to supporting clients through breast and chest surgeries—from breast cancer treatments to gender-affirming procedures. After logging well over 10,000 hours of hands-on work with this unique and beautiful population, I now focus on helping other therapists expand their skills and practices in this rewarding field.

To date, I’ve trained over 650 massage therapists across multiple countries through my accredited programs and reached thousands more through educational events and workshops.

Working with clients navigating breast cancer and surgical recovery has been one of the most meaningful and inspiring paths in my career. It allows us to connect deeply with people during a vulnerable time and provide care that truly makes a difference. Plus, the gentle, focused techniques needed for this work are not just transformative for clients—they’re body-saving for therapists, too. Shifting my practice in this direction helped me overcome chronic pain and burnout early in my career, giving me a renewed sense of purpose and passion.
